Sponsored by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and undertaken by Shanghai International Auto Parts Sourcing Center (APSIS), 2007 summit of the Forum on China-US Automotive supply chain ”, will be convened in Shanghai during April 23th ~ April 24th, 2007. The preliminary meeting for the forum was held in Beijing on 19th Nov, 2006 to found the organizing committee and to discuss the forum agenda, operation mode and other related issues. Mr. J. Scot Sharland, the Executive Director of AIAG, and Mr. Jiang Lei, the Executive Vice-President and Secretary General of CAAM were elected as the chairmen of the organizing committee. Other committee members include Mr. Chen Yilong, the General Director of Asia Pacific Affairs & Chief Representative of AIAG in China, Mr. Shi Jianhua,  the Assistant Secretary General of CAAM, Mr. Nan Yang, the President of APSIS and Mr. Hu Fan, the Chief Editor of Shanghai Auto News.

 

This summit will be a significant dialogue between Chinese and American automotive industries, and it will certainly be one of the important focuses during the 12th International Automobile Show in Shanghai to be held in the same period.
