The First Summit Forum for CHINA-America Auto Supply Chain Cooperation and Development, sponsored by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and undertaken by Shanghai International Auto Parts Sourcing Center (APSIS), will be convened in Shanghai on April 23th ~ April 24th, 2007. This is an important contact of the automotive sectors in China and the U.S., and it will also be highlighted in the 12th International Automobile Show in Shanghai to be held in the same period.
Under the theme “Cooperation, Exchange, Development, Win-Win”, the First Summit Forum for CHINA-American Auto Supply Chain Cooperation and Development will focus on topics like “Cooperation and Development of CHINA-American Auto Parts Supply Chain”, “Quality Criteria and Core Elements of the North American Automotive Industry’s Global Sourcing and Supply Chain”, “The Expectation of the Chinese Government on the Domestic Auto Parts Industry’s Improving Competitive Edges and Taking an Active Part in Serving the North American and Global Market in the Process of Globalization”, “Development Strategies of North American Auto Parts Producers and Their Cooperation with Class II and Class III Auto Parts Producers in China”, “Export Risk Management of Chinese-Made Auto Products” and so on.
The sourcing directors and senior managements of GM. Ford, Daimler Chrysler as well as other primary Tier I suppliers, and the senior managements of BAW, SAIC and CHANA, the three automotive groups in China who have established business relationship with the American auto manufacturers, will attend the forum and address the forum. Furthermore, some representative excellent Chinese auto parts producers will share with the attendants the experienced in entering the North American market.
During the forum, a picture collection will also be given on outstanding Chinese and U.S. auto parts producers, for the review and prospect of the cooperation and development of the automotive industries in the two countries. This will be a gathering of elites from the higher managements of the industries; it is also a hard-won, special occasion for understanding, analyzing and prospecting the development of the CHINA-American auto supply chain. In addition, top officers from those automotive industry organizations and auto manufactures in other countries and areas, as well as from other local automotive groups will be graciously invited to attend the summit.
