APSIS Team Triumphed in 2006 IZB

     On 15th Oct, 2006, 23 excellent Chinese auto parts manufactures of APSIS Team returned in triumph from 2006 IZB, the great fair organized by VW and held in the city of its headquarter Wolfsburg, Germany.

     The current fair was the largest one in its history, occupied 30,000m2 and attracted 607 exhibitors (52 Chinese exhibitors) from 24 countries as well as over 45,000 visits. It was the first time for most of the APSIS team members to participate in this fair and their attendance triggered a big focus.

      During IZB, Mr. Ma Canrong, the Ambassador of China to Germany came to the exhibition area of APSIS team, friendly talked with Chinese exhibitors and  highly praised their attendance which well revealed the sound image of Chinese auto parts industry.  

      In addition, VW also laid great attention on Chinese exhibitors. On the “ German——Chinese Automobile Suppliers Conference”, the early event especially held for Chinese suppliers, VW declared its strategy of expanding auto parts sourcing in China and introduce the purchasing standard in order to inform Chinese suppliers with the latest information. Furthermore, Mr. Pischetstieder, the chairman of VW board and Mr. Garcia Sanz, the purchasing director as well as other boarder members patrolled over APSIS exhibitor area and made conversation with suppliers.

      To promote a better understanding between VW and Chinese exhibitors, APSIS actively contacted with VW before the exhibition and created opportunities for each APSIS team member to have a face-to-face meeting with VW purchasing personnel at least one to two hours, which highly commented by our suppliers.

      To those who first contacted with VW, meeting provided them the chance to establish sound initial relationship with VW. About 6 suppliers’ exhibits attracted VW interest on site, and through following communication, until now, one of them have send the complete product list, one have send the quotation, one would like to accredit representative in Germany to conduct business negotiation with VW. In addition, VW expressed their intent to visit another three suppliers’ company and plant.

      And to the rest ones, meeting actively promote their current business with VW, one have send the test sample, one came to the second-round quotation, one would take PSA, and another two would send engineers to VW Germany for further talks.
Additionally, 75% of APSIS team members found cooperative opportunities with other OEM and 1st tier suppliers.

      To extent their appreciation for APSIS’s great effort on organizing excellent Chinese exhibitors’ participancy in 2006 IZB, the exhibitior organizer, invite APSIS as the only cooperative partner to attend the press conference before fair closing. On the conference, the exhibition organizer expressed that the sound image of Chinese suppliers’ company and product deeply impressed them and they would like to invite more excellent exhibitors from China in next 2008 IZB.
