China has announced the national auto and auto parts export bases and enterprises

By August 17th, the Ministry of Commerce and National Development and Reform Commission have approved the first group of bases and enterprises for auto and auto parts export, and announced to promote the expansion of auto and auto parts export to the greatest extent. Bo Xilai, minister of the Ministry of Commerce indicated that expanding the export of auto and auto parts, especially the complete vehicles of self-owned brands and those possessing independent intellectual property rights is the only way to improve the general level of Chinese auto industry and its competitiveness in global markets, and develop China into a great auto power from a big auto country.
160 auto enterprises which won the title of "National Auto and Auto Parts Export Base Enterprises" consist of 44 complete vehicle export enterprises including FAG, Geely, Chery, Dongfeng, and 116 other auto parts export enterprises including Wanxiang, Motorola Electronics. Bo Xilai expressed that Chinese government will standardize the auto products export market system fundamentally, make efforts to improve the external environment for auto exports, promote certification cooperation and mutual recognition of auto parts with major import countries, actively deal with trade conflicts that have arisen, and provide auto and auto parts enterprises with technical regulations and standards of import countries as well as other services free of charge.
According to the data of the Ministry of Commerce,
The complete vehicle export is averagely increasing at the rate of up to 70% every year. Last year, 173 000 complete vehicles were exported, increasing by 120%, and it was the first time that 11 000 more vehicles were exported than imported. In the fist half year of this year, 34 500 saloon cars have been exported, surpassing the total export volume in the last year.
