The “2008 International Suppliers Fair” (IZB) will be held on Oct, 29 to 31, in Wolfsburg, Germany. Under the slogan of “connecting car competence”, IZB has become the biggest exclusive trade fair in Europe for automotive OEMs and suppliers. In 2006, there were total 609 auto parts manufacturers from 22 countries and regions participated the Fair, with a record number of over 42,000 professional visitors.

China was the partner country of “2006 IZB”, and the first attendance of 22 outstanding Chinese exhibitors (APSIS Team members) triggered a focus. Mr. Ma Canrong, the Ambassador of China to Germany, Mr. Pischetstieder, the then-chairman of VW board and Mr. Garcia Sanz, the purchasing director as well as other boarder members patrolled over APSIS exhibitor area and made friendly conversation with suppliers. During the exhibition, Chinese suppliers found themselves exposed to an environment with the most updated information, technology innovation, as well as valuable opportunities in expanding business cooperation. Most Chinese exhibitors enhanced the relationship with VW and some of them also found potential business with other global purchasers.

Shanghai International Auto Parts Sourcing Center (APSIS), serving as a professional service provider in the automotive industry, has been authorized by Wolfsburg AG, as the sole agency in China for all Chinese “Exhibitor Application” to 2008 IZB.
